Frequently asked questions

  • How do I get a booking?
    E-mail us at *some of our artists only open their bookings every few months, but we are happy to provide you with quotes and information ready for the bookings to open.
  • How old do I have to be to get a tattoo?
    We will only tattoo you when you are 18+.
  • Can I pay with my card?
    Cash payments are preferred, please! We do take card payments in-store, these do incur a 2% processing fee.
  • I want to make a booking, but can't make it to the studio for a consult, can I book in online?"
    Of course! We are happy to book you in over e-mail! We will require a deposit for the booking, which you can pay via PayPal or Bank Transfer.
  • What is your pricing?
    We require a $50 non-refundable deposit for all bookings. If you need to reschedule your appointment please try to give us as much notice as you can, and if you fail to show up you will lose your deposit. Our shop minimum is $150 Laurens minimum is currently $100 as she is in her 3rd year tattooing. She also has $50 repeatable designs available for 2024. We price per piece and are happy to accommodate your budget, we can provide you with a quote if you contact us! at: or by filling out the contact us form on the website.   • Do you have any positions available? (artists & apprenticeship).
    We are not looking for any resident artists. We aren't and will never be looking for apprentices, sorry! - There is no need to email us your portfolios or resumes. If you'd like to guest spot please email us:, we offer day rate for guest artists, and can accommodate 2 guests at the same time.
  • I have a pre-existing skin condition and I'm not sure if I can be tattooed?
    We highly recommend going to speak to a medical professional, if you need to know what we use when tattooing please e-mail us, we are happy to accommodate if you have certain allergies! We do use "second skin" on a lot of our tattoos, please advise us on the consent form if you have an adhesives allergy.
  • Are you wheelchair friendly?
    We have 2 steps to get inside, then no more steps afterward. If you need assistance to get inside we are happy to help.
  • Are you vegan-friendly?
    Yes, we are! We are a mixture of veggies and vegans here at Parliament House Studio, so we make sure every time we use a new product that it is vegan-friendly and cruelty-free. :)
  • Are deposits non-refundable?
    We require a minimum of $50 for a deposit (some artists require more than that). If you do not show up for your appointment you will automatically lose your deposit and will be required to pay another if you want to book back in. We require a minimum of 48 hours notice if you want to cancel or reschedule your appointment, more notice than that is perferred. If you need to cancel you can text us anytime on: 0432 771 324. Please do not email us if you are trying to reschedule outside of our opening hours. We do not refund deposits, if you can no longer make your appointment and don't want to reschedule we can translate it into credit to keep on your client profile ready for when you want to make another booking, you can transfer your deposit and/or booking to another person, or you can use it to purchase a gift voucher.   • Can I bring someone with me to my appointment?
    Feel free to bring a support person, we cannot guarantee they will be able to sit next to you during your tattoo, but they are welcome in our waiting area/coming into the tattooing room to check placement/stencil. If you require an assistance person we will accommodate
  • Do you sell gift vouchers and e-gift vouchers?
    You can purchase physical gift vouchers in-store with cash, or via bank transfer. Please check our opening hours and call ahead, so we can make sure someone is available to serve you. If you wish to purchase an e-gift voucher please email us: , please provide your first and last name and the first and last name of the receiver (please include preferred names). You can make this payment via bank transfer, gift vouchers are processed within our opening hours, any payments made outside of these hours will not be processed until we are back in our operating hours. Also please let us know their preferred artist if known. E-gift vouchers will be sent in a seperate email for you to print out or forward to the receiver.
  • I have lost my gift voucher, or forgot to bring it with me!"
    Not to worry, we keep a record of all gift voucher sales, and credit / deposit amounts. If you think you have credit for our studio please feel free to email and we will be able to advise you how much you have on your account.
  • Can I bring child to your studio?
    We have a strict policy on not having any minors in a studio. If you are planning on bringing a minor with you please arrange childcare. We do not provide childcare and you cannot leave them unattended in our waiting room.
  • I've submitted my form- What's next?
    Our admin hours are 9:00am - 10:30am, Wednesdays - Saturdays. Nothing is answered outside these hours. Example: If your form is submitted on Saturday at 3:00pm, you will expect a response the following Wednesday morn. :) If you think your form has not been responded too please search your Spam or Junk folder in your emails. Responses are from our email address: We will not call you to create a booking.
